SynergEbooks is an electronic publisher, founded in 1999 by Debra Staples. Shown here are the first three of what I hope will be many covers for her talented authors. Each cover demands a different approach to color, text, and composition. The novelty and variety of challenges are what draw me to publishing.

This was an ambitious project, requiring about one hundred forty frames. The filmmakers are artists in their own right. It was a pleasure to work with people who understand the process, and to watch them work through all the inevitable and unforeseen challenges of production.

T. T. Schlegel approached me to create the cover for his book, available through Strong Tower Publishing. Continuous communication with author and publisher led to several drafts and a cover we're all proud of, and to a fascinating discussion of the book itself.

Hudsonia is a nonprofit dedicated to environmental research and education in New York’s Hudson Valley. Providing accurate illustrations for their article on edible mushrooms of North America wasn’t easy – the subjects were out of season!

I produced a couple covers and numerous illustrations for The Citizen. Shown here are my first cover, some details, and selected cartoons.
